Kerry Walker is a Co-founder of Walker Communications, a communications consultancy for investors and founders of rapidly scaling start-ups. Walker Comms delivers custom communications strategies across channels, bringing strategy, execution, and a powerful network together to achieve business goals.
Prior to launching Walker Comms, Kerry spent more than 20 years on the agency side, nearly a decade of which was at The Outcast Agency in leadership roles, including managing key accounts such as EMC, GE, Starwood/Marriott. She also led the Revolution Ventures account, which set the stage for Walker Comms’ focus on investors and startups. Notable Walker Comms clients include: 1Sharpe Ventures, 81 Collection, ACME Capital, Building Ventures, Conversion Capital, Infinity Ventures, Intuitive Ventures, M12 (Microsoft’s Corporate Venture), M/C Partners, Silversmith Ventures, Summit Partners, The Engine (MIT’s venture spin-off), Spark Capital, and WestCap.

Prior to Walker Comms, she worked at Porter Novelli in the technology practice supporting startup and b2b technology companies. Her early career included an in-house stint at Abt Associates, a social policy think tank, and work on Texas Instruments at the boutique Boston-based agency Bridgeman Communications. Her background represents a mix of enterprise technology and vertical expertise across fintech, biotech, ecommerce, HR tech, and real estate and proptech.
Since 2018, Kerry has worked with Harvard Innovation Lab as a mentor, offering quarterly office hours. Since early 2020, she has been involved with The Engine - first as The Engine Venture’s Head of Communications and currently as the PR agency supporting portfolio milestone news.
